Privacy policy

The short version

This website is an information site about Digicast Holdings and its companies. It has no accounts, no logins and no payments. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics, and loads nothing from third party servers. The only personal data we receive is what you choose to type into the enquiry form, and we use it to answer your enquiry.

Who is responsible for your data

What we collect, and why

When you complete the enquiry form on the contact page, we receive the following:

• Name (required). To address you correctly in our reply.
• Email address (required). To send you a reply. This is the only way we can respond.
• Organisation (optional). To understand who is enquiring. You may leave it blank.
• Which company (optional). To route the enquiry to the right company in the group.
• Subject (required). To triage the enquiry.
• Message (required). The substance of your enquiry. Please do not include sensitive personal information here.

Our server also briefly holds a value derived from your IP address in order to limit how many enquiries can be sent from one source in an hour. This guards the form against automated abuse. It is held in memory only, for no longer than one hour, and is not written to a database or used to identify you.

What we do not do

• We do not set cookies or store anything in your browser. See our cookie policy.
• We do not use Google Analytics, a tag manager, advertising pixels, session recording or any other tracking.
• We do not load fonts, scripts, maps or embedded media from third party servers. Our typefaces are served from our own domain, so your browser makes no request to Google or anyone else when you read this page.
• We do not build profiles, and we make no automated decisions about you.
• We do not sell, rent or share your details for marketing.
• We do not add you to a mailing list because you sent an enquiry. If we ever offer one, it will be a separate, clearly marked opt-in.

Our lawful basis

We process your enquiry because you asked us to contact you, and because we have a legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries about our work. You are never required to use the form. You can reach us by telephone or post instead, using the details on the contact page.

Who can see your enquiry

Your enquiry is routed to the company in the group it concerns, and is read by [to confirm: which staff may read enquiries]. It is delivered through our email or enquiry handling provider, which processes it on our behalf under contract and does not use it for its own purposes. If that provider stores data outside Ghana, the transfer is [to confirm: whether enquiry data leaves Ghana, and to where].

We do not otherwise disclose your enquiry, except where we are required to by law or by a regulator, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for [to confirm: retention period for enquiries], after which they are deleted. Where an enquiry becomes a tender, a contract or a live project, the correspondence is retained with the project records for as long as the law and our professional obligations require.

Keeping it secure

The site is served over HTTPS, so what you type is encrypted in transit. The form validates everything on our server, limits how often it can be used, and screens automated submissions. We hold no passwords and no payment details, because the site has neither.

Please do not send us sensitive information

The enquiry form is for business enquiries. Please do not use it to send health information, identity document numbers, bank details or anything else sensitive. If a matter requires that kind of detail, tell us and we will arrange a more appropriate route.

Your rights

Under Act 843 you have the right to ask us what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to ask us to delete it, and to object to our use of it. You can also withdraw an enquiry at any time and ask us to erase it.

To exercise any of these, write to [to confirm: email address for data protection requests]. We will respond within the period required by law. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.

If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, the UK GDPR or the EU GDPR may also apply to your data, and you may have additional rights under them, including the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.

Children

This site is aimed at businesses and public bodies. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Links to other sites

This site does not currently link out to any third party website. If that changes, note that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of sites we link to.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles data, for example by adding analytics, we will update this policy and the date at the top of this page before the change goes live. Adding anything that stores data in your browser would also bring a consent banner with it.
